Mattel and Human Mobile Devices launched the HMD Barbie Phone, a nostalgic flip phone that inspires more fun and less doomscrolling thanks to features that discourage digital distraction. The thoughtfully designed "dumb phone" sports a retro aesthetic and features like calls and texts but no social media.

This mindful mobile device comes with digital well-being tips and a “Hi Barbie” voice that provides a welcome when the phone is turned on. Millennials who grew up playing with Barbie, and using original flip phones, will enjoy this design that can be decorated with included accessories like crystals, stickers and a Barbie-style beaded phone strap.

The US version of the HMD Barbie Phone works on AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon wireless networks, and it's launching on October 1st, 2024.
