Melbourne-based creative studio Chong Shop is introducing a new project in the form of hangers that resemble deflated balloons. These hangers, arriving in colorways such as Barbie Pink, Sunny Lime, and Pool Blue, utilize post-consumer waste plastic that the brand sourced from Defy Design, a plastic recycling company.
“[In Melbourne], we have seen a variety of exciting new works, with more diverse disciplines,” she adds. “I wanted to explore more possibilities in new mediums — more sustainable materials, especially with common everyday objects and in a more mass production context,” said Casey Chong, founder of Chong Shop.
The new hangers can be purchased through the Kickstarter campaign for Chong Shop, which will be available until August 19.
