Paramount has debuted an official trailer for 'Halo The Series,' a new video game-inspired television show coming to the Paramount+ platform, the brand's proprietary streaming service. Halo The Series is inspired by 'Halo,' the massively popular video game that was first released over 20 years ago by Microsoft.
Several video game tie-in series' have been released over the past two years, including 'Arcane' based on 'League of Legends,' 'Dragon's Blood' based on 'DoTA,' and most recently 'The Cuphead Show,' based on Cuphead. Some of these series have done very well, which showcases a new trend in the television industry. Throughout the early 2000s and 2010s, most video game-inspired media performed poorly, resulting in each series being canceled. Now, many of these series perform very well. It will be interesting to see how Halo, being one of the largest video games in the world, is received in a live-action television format.
