The photo series succinctly titled Half by Roman Sakovich, a recent graduate from the Arts University College in Bournemouth, explores the use of drugs. As though channeling their inner Two-Face, the subjects have been photographed twice in order for both portraits to be stitched together to show the stark contrast between a person before and after drug abuse.
Half by Roman Sakovich is at once shocking and powerful. On one side they are normal, responsible human beings and on the other side they are sad and deteriorating. Although incredibly realistic, the drug abuse portrayal was achieved through the use of makeup to gain insight on the superficial judgement people cast on the same person in two different scenarios.
