Hairchitecture from Gijo and Fahr 021.3 is Architecturally Inspired
Michael Hines — June 18, 2012 — Fashion
Architecture and hairdressing collide in Hairchitecture from Gijo and FAHR 021.3. Hairchitecture is a collaboration between a hairdresser (Gijo) and a Portuguese architecture firm (FAHR 021.3). The two challenged themselves to create hairstyles similar to the shapes found in architectural world.
The result is a series of stunning 'dos designed to invoke the "architecture and fashion of the 60s and 70s." The hairstyles are impressive, as are the hair rulers used to create them. Architecture and fashion intersect every now and then, but its usually the latter than ends up exerting its influence over the former. In this case, architecture ended up leaving a big imprint upon fashion.
Here's hoping that Gijo and FAHR 021.3 will work again on another round of architectural hairstyling. An Empire State Building updo would be so fetch.
