These Gusiv Vlad illustrations are reminiscent of video game graphics from the Playstation and Nintendo 64 era. With its jagged edges and pseudo-3-D look, each Vlad rendering could easily pass for characters found within games played on those two retro consoles.
Gusiv Vlad’s work, of course, is much more sophisticated than just mere imitation of outdated computer imagery as his pieces are made up of copious amounts of rigid polygonal shapes. They’re also super imaginative with whimsical concepts and vibrant colors, making them perfect as children’s illustrations, but still sophisticated enough to appeal to adults.
