In celebration of International Stout Day on the first of November, The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin introduced the Guinness STOUTie.
In the same way that some coffeehouses let consumers customize hot beverages like lattes with a selfie or a design of their choosing, the STOUTie enables drinkers to create "a picture-perfect pint" on the head of the stout with natural malt extract. Guinness creates its STOUTie with Ripples technology, which uses patented 3D printer mechanics and Ink-Jet printing to leave a sepia-toned design on top of a pint.
