When artist Greg Guillemin chose a pop culture theme for his latest project, safe to say I was more than excited.
Greg Guillemin is the Creative Director of his own studio, and a master of minimalism. His latest venture into minimalist illustration results in a classy, stripped-down take on some of pop cultures most noticeable references, such as Star Wars, Woody Allen and Scream. Simplified portraits and earth-tone coloring go a long way in this series, as Guillemin reestablishes his ethos of “less is more.” By stripping down his art to only the bare essentials, Guillemin leaves a fresh, clean-looking print that is not only hip, but also easy to appreciate.
Guillemin does a great job at giving an air of minimalism to any subject.
