Graham's Dairy in Scotland will introduce new milk cartons with tethered Elopak closures. According to reports, switching to tethered caps is a first for the UK dairy industry. Graham's Dairy chose Elopak's Pure-Pak cartons with Pure TwistFlip tethered caps, as these components significantly impact the plastic and carbon industries. Almost 800 Sainsbury's stores will carry the cap, which will be used on Graham's 500ml carton products.
“Consumers have become a lot more knowledgeable when it comes to recycling and plastic reduction, and are demanding packaging that reflects this. Graham’s are now setting the pace in the dairy industry by choosing our solution. Designed to meet regulations, the tethered cap will help to reduce ocean pollution, reduce plastic waste and are easy and convenient to use and recycle,” said Martin Shaw, Elopak’s market unit manager, UK and Ireland.
