During Milan Design Week 2012, IKEA bombed its own ads to create these cool Banksy-inspired IKEA street art designs.
The company glued black and white street graffiti-style stencilled posters in the famous style of Banksy on their own ads and along the Milan subway with the title: People Bring Design to Life. The graffiti posters cheer up the subway with different shapes, from a ballet dancer stretching on a chair and a little boy sitting on a chair to a gnome standing on top of a pile of magazines.
The IKEA ads create a visual spectacle for subway riders on steps, escalators and concrete walls. These ads are a great way to gain consumer attention.
