A fan of yoga? Then you might just enjoy a gong bath. Alchemy, a holistic wellness centre in Britain, has recently developed a new way to relax and meditate.
Alchemy’s gong bath classes include candlelit yoga performed in front of gong which is played, quietly at first and then gradually to a loud climax after about 15 minutes. If the banging of a loud gong doesn’t make you lose your dancer’s pose, then I applaud you.
Here’s what Alchemy says on their website about their gong bath class: “The Gong moves us beyond the boundaries of the mind and creates a sense of oneness. The sound from the Gong releases us from our thoughts and brings about deep relaxation.”
