Golden Moon is a spectacularly large circular ball close to the water that allows visitors the pleasure of going inside and looking around.
The structure is 18-meters tall and made of bamboo wood and steel that is covered with stretch fabric that clings to the rods like flaky reptilian scales. The scaly sphere is able to glow due to the numerous amount of LED lights that trail down the sides of each piece of fabric and criss-cross the rods inside of the structure. Inside of the sphere are suspended Chinese lanterns that further add to the awe-inspiring nature of the effervescent orb.
Golden Moon was created as a centerpiece for the Lee Kum Kee Lantern Wonderland festival that is held in Hong Kong in Autumn.
