Danil Repko is the creative mind behind the Lunar Lamp concept, which ironically does not resemble the look of the moon at all. The design is inspired by nature as the shade is used to diffuse the bright light reflecting the same emotion that indirect lighting uses its own structure to reflect light over and over.
There are various ways to weaken the light's strength and many lamps use wrapping methods of the material around the light source. Another way is to allow the light to shine away from the viewer and only have the reflected light shine, similar to how the moon is. The concept follows the same principal of the moon's natural function as there are two circular plates to reflect the interaction between the sun and moon
