'Girlhood: The Story' is an educational journal that aims to remove the stigma and shame surrounding women's menstrual cycle.
“This stage in life is when girls really start to discover what their body is capable of, why it acts a certain way and also what choices are available to them. Many aspects of women’s health and bodies are still shrouded in mystery and embarrassment. We hope to change this for the better," said Girlhood founders Maria Purcell and Amone Gbedemah, who met while working at Facebook.
Girlhood: The Story is both a journal and interactive guide to learning about and tracking one's menstrual cycle, including monthly sections that track one's mood and other period symptoms along with real story spotlights from creatives including fashion editors, podcast hosts and more.
