The Giraffe Street Lamp is an eco-friendly light source that is powered by children as well as the young at heart. Although it looks like a giant chair at first with its back support and four legs, the swing is soon detected beneath the 'seat.' When in use, the kinetic energy generated from the swing powers the light that arches gracefully overhead.
Created by designers Chen Wei and Lu Yanxin, the Giraffe Street Lamp is playfully contemporary. A clever and creative concept, it combines a fun activity with an eco-friendly sense of responsibility. Self-sustainable, the Giraffe Street Lamp will teach children the benefit of exercise not only for the body, but for the kinetic energy that can be harnessed as well.
