Trapping spectators in a snowstorm, the 'Ghost' installation transports visitors into an apocalyptic scenario. The interactive installation uses cameras to measure and model visitors virtually. It then places the models into a raging snowstorm where a group of people march on to find shelter. After you finish looking at the installation, Ghost continues to simulate a model of you in the storm for future visitors to ponder.
The installation itself is composed of a large screen with a snowstorm playing on it. As it rages, you get a first person view of a vast and barren landscape. In the distance you can see previous visitors wandering around.
The installation's instant modelling was done using several pieces of software. Ghost was built using openFrameworks as well as OpenNI and OSC.
