The 'IF' is a geometric modern house, located near Ponta Negra, Brazil. Owned by a couple with two children, Martins Lucena Arquitetos was commissioned to create an agreeable contemporary residence that would be suitable for the familial dynamic. For the dwelling, the firm focused on exceptional elegance, mixed material use, and a refined aesthetic.
The geometric modern house boasts a heavy presence of rectangular construction both through its construction and its interior design. Martins Lucena Arquitetos utilizes a restricted color palette but more than compensates with its juxtaposition of textures. Throughout the house, the firm brought together concrete, wood, marble and more to create an active dynamic between rawness and smoothness.
The plan of the geometric modern house includes a communal area, bedrooms, a kitchen, a guest room, as well as a pool.
