FuboTV Announced a New Free 'Point' Gambling Service for Sports Games
Colin Smith — June 16, 2022 — Tech
FuboTV announced the FuboTV Gambling feature for users of the application. The feature will allow early viewers on sports games and other competitive events to place bets on which team or player will win prior to the game. These bets will not be placed in real money, but rather in 'Points,' which can be accrued on a per-account basis. This is a separate application from FuboTV's adult-only 'Sportsbook' application, which allows for real money gambling.
The CEO of FuboTV noted that this new functionality is part of a company goal to make television viewing more interactive and engaging, as more and more viewers each year use traditional television as background content. FuboTV refers to the free point gambling feature as 'Perfect Pick’ems,' as it only refers players who choose the winning competitor.
