IKEA and Teenage Engineering join forces in creating the FREKVENS collection, a series of essential party electronics. The two have been collaborating over the previous year, crafting a number of prototypes and are not set to unveil a line of electronic gadgets. The FREKVENS series draws inspiration from the party scene and music festivals, understanding the high and growing demand for wireless technology.
The FREKVENS capsule features both audio systems and decorative products, such as vinyl players, electronic choir, and party lighting. The collaborative project aims to deliver efficiency and IKEA Range & Supply's creative leader Michael Nikolic has expresses this. He notes that today's youth is spontaneous and so the two labels explore the opportunity of bringing the party along with consumers with party-ready essentials. The FREKVENS collection will be available February 2019.
