In an effort to help spread kindness and strengthen social bonds, Moonpig is giving away free thank you cards for the entire month of August. The initiative comes in light of a new partnership with Neuroscientist Dr. Jack Lewis, who found that both sending and receiving cards help trigger the reward pathways in our brains to give you a rush of pleasure.
Dr. Lewis says: “We are social creatures and sending or receiving an unexpected Thank-You card can act as a way to bolster our social connections. Doing something thoughtful for another person makes us feel good because it stimulates three different parts of the brain spread out along the underside of the brain where the left and right halves meet in the middle, making us feel great."
The Moonpig free thank you cards are available until August 31st, 2021, and include one standard size thank you card per customer per day with postal costs starting from .85p.
