In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, U-Haul is helping students in Canada and the United States affect by the closure of their universities and colleges with 30 days of free self-storage at U-Haul-owned and -operated facilities.
“We don’t know how every student is affected. But we know they are affected,” said Taylor. “More and more universities are giving instructions to leave campus and go home. Students and their parents are in need of moving and storage solutions. We have the expertise and network to help, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do.”
In addition to offering the 30 days of free self-storage, the company has also increased its cleaning measures to completely disinfect trucks and keys between uses in an effort to help prevent the spread of the virus.
