To celebrate Starbucks' 50th anniversary and in honor of National Coffee Day on September 29th, the brand is offering fans a free cup of Pike Place® Roast brewed coffee. The signature coffee was named after the location of the original store in Seattle’s Pike Place Market that opened in 1971 and is one of the most popular brews from the coffee chain.
To get your hands on the free cup of delicious coffee, fans are invited to bring in a clean, reusable cup into participating café locations across Canada. The reusable cup initiative is part of the brand's bigger commitment to reducing the amount of single-use plastic in circulation. Starbucks became accepting personal reusable cups in Canada last month thanks to its new, contactless process.
