After looking through the delightful food compositions by Dina Belenko, you'll find it hard to believe that the Russian photographer is self-taught.
The stylized "photo-illustrations," as Belenko refers to them, consist of carefully arranged food products, utensils and props, such as jewelry or dentistry tools, that she picks up at flea markets. Though still-life is considered to be a rather boring, one-dimensional art form in Russia, it is the one Belenko prefers because of the high degree of control available to the photographer.
Currently, Belenko is involved in 'An Endless Book,' a continuous project that requires participants to upload an image under a topic of their choosing. All of the participants' works will be combined to create a panoramic image at the end of 2015.
