The goCstudio is developing a floating sauna that can also be put on a trailer bed and parked on land. The design allows for a 7 x 7 foot sauna space on an 8 x 16 foot deck. The exterior is clad with high-quality marine-grade plywood, allowing for reduced material costs and easy flat-packing.
The sauna is designed to keep construction costs down while making transportation relatively easy. It is compact enough to be transportable by road even when fully constructed and assembled. The thoughtful design has led to much interest from people interested in commissioning personal floating saunas.
goCstudio have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to raise funds for production of the floating sauna. If the campaign successfully meets its fundraising goal, goCstudio will begin constructing units in early 2015 and ship them out in spring or summer.
