Although the Hackney Festival of Fitness will not be officially kicking off until the end of April this year, Virgin Sport set up a mini-festival to view the public a preview of the event. This "taster session" set up outside offered training tips and drills on how to run properly, as well as short yoga sessions.
At the full Hackney Festival of Fitness, attendees will take part of a 5.5k run, free fitness and yoga classes throughout the day, alongside music, art installations, as well as food and drinks.
Pre-festival teasers seem to be a popular new way to attract attention to an upcoming event and drive up attendance. Recently, Bestival set up a one-day festival teaser in London to give the public a taste of its full four-day event later in the year.
