Slovenian architecture and design firm OFIS Arhitekti has designed the newest Belarusian stadium for the FC BATE Borisov football club. The concept was inspired by the structure's natural surroundings by maintaining as many trees on the site as possible. The site is located just south of the city center and will provide 13,000 spectating seats and an addition of 3,000 squared meters of public space for visitors and guests.
The dome-shaped building was created to mimic a piece of textile stretched over a skeleton. The exterior is made from aluminium panels with random puddle-like windows that stretch throughout the structure. Shops, toilets and bars line the ground level, where the second level will host press rooms, VIP areas and staff offices.
