Facebook Created a False Information Tag for Instagram Posts

Facebook has created a new 'False Information' feature for Instagram. The False Information feature will label posts that have been reported to have incorrect content, which will allow Instagram users to immediately identify inaccurate information. Reports will be verified by a group of independent fact-checkers, to evaluate the accuracy of a post.
Facebook spoke about the new feature, “In addition to clearer labels, we’re also working to take faster action to prevent misinformation from going viral, especially given that quality reporting and fact-checking takes time." The company continues to outline how it will throttle down the distribution of a post until it has been verified by independent fact-checkers.
