The Extreme Knitting Calendar could easily fool anyone into believing that the articles of clothing were actually knitted. To be more precise, the celeb faces on the articles of clothing. In reality, the portraits are crafty graphic designs made to look as though they were knitted. Aptly dubbed knitting illustrations, the Extreme Knitting Calendar revolves around hilarious depictions of B-list celebrities including Hulk Hogan and Paris Hilton as well as retro stars such as Sylvester Stallone and David Bowie.
Created by Izabela Kaczmarek-Szurek, a graphic designer hailing from Poland, the Extreme Knitting Calendar won 3rd place in GRAFFEX, a well-known Polish graphic design competition. Considering how creative the images are, from the '80s-inspired borders to the images themselves, it is somewhat surprising that the Extreme Knitting Calendar didn't win first place.
