The new Everlasting Plastics exhibition is curated by Tizziana Baldenebro, the executive director of SPACES alongside Lauren Leving, the director at the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland. It takes place at the US Pavilion during this year's Venice Architecture Biennale. The purpose of the latest show is meant to challenge visitors to explore mankind and its relationship with single-use plastics.
Curators Baldenebro and Leving explain to Dezeen that "Everlasting Plastics challenges visitors' understanding of the material and inspires a breadth of methodologies to utilize and transform the ways in which we engage with refuse. We have to learn to live with the material realities of our waste systems and we hope visitors envision new ways to exist in this tension."
