The Atlas Erida Drone Stays Airborne For Long Periods of Time
Rahul Kalvapalle — August 31, 2015 — Tech
The Atlas Erida is a drone, developed by Latvian startup Atlas Aerospace, that is looking to provide some serious competition to standard drone photography stalwart offerings from the likes of Parrot and DJI. This carbon fiber drone is lightweight, can be controlled by a smartphone and can offer as much as 40 percent more battery life.
What makes the Atlas Erida stand out is really its weight. Its reduced weight in turn allows for up to 35 minutes of flight time to be saved off every battery charge cycle, which is a huge improvement over other photography-centric drones.
The Atlas Erida is currently a prototype drone only but is all set to add some healthy competition to the photography drone world.
