'Envirosmart' is a new brand of eco-friendly takeout bag that was developed by Rayonier Advanced Materials, an American chemical company that specializes in cellulose-based products.
The bags were designed with the QSR industry in mind, with the design balancing sustainability and durability to provide businesses and their consumers with an accessible alternative to traditional takeout bags. To create its Envirosmart bags, Rayonier Advanced Materials utilizes recovered wood, which it is able to transform into consistently printed bags that are sent to its clients in rolls for convenient removal.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing Martin Lavoie spoke to the update, stating "Many converters, printers and brand owners want to offer a sustainable food service bag without sacrificing strength, runnability and printability. Envirosmart is that product. It combines the natural look and feel end-users want, with the durability that packagers need."
