Turgis & Gaillard, a relatively small French company, has well and truly taken advantage of the ongoing Paris Air Show to introduce onlookers to an innovative new combat drone that is designed to be able to provide medium altitude, long endurance (MALE) capabilities to the French military.
Dubbed the 'AAROK,' this particular combat drone aims to provide advanced UAV capabilities to French and allied forces in a cost-efficient manner, due to the fact that the drone was envisioned to be able to make use of French-made components and in-country defense capabilities. The end result is a combat drone that is able to offer a range of 24 hours whilst being capable of carrying payloads of up to 1.5 tonnes, whether in the form of missiles, munitions, sensors or reconnaissance technologies.
This combat drone is positioned as being an ideal solution for maritime missions.
