Emma Jorn, a designer from Denmark, has released a collection of women's rainwear made specifically for cycling. The collection, called the Ilse Jacobsen Hornbaek by Emma Jorn, features waterproof dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, and shirts as well as traditional raincoats.
Jorn, who lives and works in the perennially rainy Copenhagen, designed the collection as a response to her own experience. Riding to work one day in a garish cycling-friendly outfit, she realized how much she wanted rainwear that made her "look brilliant instead of goofy." As such, Jorn set out to design stylish waterproof clothing that doesn't restrict riders' mobility while cycling.
The collection's style comes after Jorn's success with her first rainwear collection, Takaokami. But while Takaokami was self-funded via a Kickstarter campaign, the new collection is being released through Ilse Jacobsen, a large rainwear specialist in Denmark.
