The EDAG Light Cocoon is EDAG's big concept creation of 2015. It's a compact and dynamic sports car that offers a glimpse into the future of lightweight automobile construction.
The vehicle's high-tech outer skin is inspired by the humble leaf. Just as leaves feature an ideal structure with a lightweight outer skin stretched on top of it, the EDAG Light Cocoon is sheathed in a textile skin. Beneath these layers sits backlight technology that illuminates the vehicle's underlying organic skeleton-like structure.
