According to Volkswagon, users can extend the range of the E-Scooter with a lithium-ion battery. Its performance can also be extended by installing a 700-watt electric motor.
Volkswagon expects to launch a fleet of such lightweight scooters suitable for Chinese megacities by the year 2012, followed by a Worldwide launch.
