Nederlicht Celebrates 100 Years of Dutch Lighting
Jessica Marcel — January 26, 2010 — Art & Design
The Dutch are very proud of their lighting. They must be, or they wouldn’t have a show to celebrate the past 100 years of Dutch lighting. Nederlicht is that show, and it’s on now at the Gorcums Museum in Gorinchem.
The Netherlands is perhaps a fitting place for a patriotic light celebration, they would certainly view light differently from places that get it for more hours of the day. And the Dutch have made some very interesting lamps—check out the gallery for just a few examples of Dutch lighting.
