Oh my! Dump wear is hot! But it might not be what you think. One of the hottest accessories on celebs and citizens of New York is the sought-after brown cap of the New York Department of Sanitation. The department launched a line of its branded products last year, and now they're pretty hot. Post 9/11, the Police Department and Fire Department of NY managed to generate over $20 million a year in revenue. So why shouldn't the garbage men get in on the action? One city official reported, "We were high-fiving each other to see someone out on the street, wearing this stuff, is so cool."
This is great, but I'm a bigger fan of NYC Garbage as Art, featured on Trend Hunter in 2006.
