DoorDash is Introducing the DoubleDash Option for Shoppers
Michael Hemsworth — August 7, 2021 — Business
DoorDash is introducing the new DoubleDash option to help consumers maximize every order they place by allowing them to increase the range of items they can have delivered straight to their door.
The service is available for use with 7-Eleven, Wawa, QuickChek and DashMart, and works by prompting the user of the option to add on items to their delivery after placing an order. Delivery personnel (known as Dashers) will then be prompted to pick up the additional items and delivery everything together.
Product Manager Prithvi Guru commented on the new DoubleDash option in an announcement that explained, "DoubleDash is the next step toward getting everything you want from your neighborhood delivered together in a one-stop shop experience. This is just the beginning of what we have planned for DoubleDash and we are excited for what is to come in the near future!"
