The Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2014 menswear collection definitely has a regal air about it. In this kingdom that paraded during the first day of Milan Fashion Week, everyone from kings to knights and travellers were fabulously outfitted.
The designer duo took inspiration from Norman Sicily for this collection and the medieval inspiration was not lost throughout. Garments included fur-trimmed sweatshirts with royal icons on them, as well as gorgeous suits, shirts and pants printed with architectural shapes, armor and other medieval motifs.
The collection was primarily made up of dark colors, with an occasional brilliant emerald or ruby tone. Outfits were accessorized with knit versions of a chainmail-like armor headpieces, crowns, bejewelled gloves and shoes, plus modern footwear with brightly coloured laces.
