The Disney Star Wars Collaboration Will Come to a Head with New Toys
Michael Baxter — May 20, 2014 — Life-Stages
The Disney Star Wars collaboration may be the biggest announcement for the franchise since Jar Jar Binks was made into a character, albeit this announcement is far more positive and far less annoying. It's been announced that now that Disney has control over the franchise there will be a new movie released every year leading up to 2020 and possibly even beyond. With this long contract Disney has decided to revamp the toy roster and bring all new ones out.
Disney is holding all the cards when it comes to movie rights currently. Between Marvel and Lucasarts they can officially do as they please with blockbusters. The new Star Wars toys will be released with each coming movie and be specifically tailored to the content of each film being released.
