DiGiorno and Marvel Studios have announced a partnership in celebration of the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie to provide avid fans with the perfect way to satisfy their hunger this summer.
The frozen pizzas are limited-edition and each branded with the aforementioned movie in mind with a series of graphics that fans are sure to recognize in store aisles. The pizzas come in four flavor options including The Wade Special, Gimme Chimi, Spicy Wolvie Pie and Maximum Pep, which are each based on the DiGiorno Classic Crust Pizza. The pizzas come packaged in boxes with a cut-out Deadpool mask to encourage fans to cosplay when waiting for their pie to bake.
Senior Brand Manager Kimberly Holowiak spoke on the DiGiorno and Marvel Studios collaboration saying, "DiGiorno is always looking for ways to tap into mainstream culture by pushing culinary boundaries through unique innovations and flavors, from our recent Thanksgiving Pizza to our all-onion ‘cry-pie,’ and we are now introducing our latest, most chaotic pies yet. This summer, we’re taking it up a notch by teaming up with Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine to create limited-edition pizzas that fans won’t want to miss—so we encourage fans to get them while they can.”
