If the fabulous city of New York wasn’t dazzling enough, the Diamond Tower designed by Mexican architect Luis Durazo is sure to make it above and beyond spectacular. Inspired by the chemical structure of a Diamond, this 300m high scraper’s exoskeleton will resemble that of the Diamond with intricately placed habitable cells and/or units.
Not only did Durazo clearly have the bedazzling ‘wow’ factor in mind when creating this luxury tower, but also wanted it to be eco-friendly. With 20% of the structure’s steel lattice to be used as vertical recreational areas for the city -- such as a museum and art galleries -- the tower will also be powered by wind turbines and solar energy panels.
