YuoNing Chien Designs the Designated Side Table Capsule

Taiwanese designer YuoNing Chien is based in Milan and her latest work is the Designated Side Table collection which debuted during Milan Design Week this year. The series is comprised of unique geometric shapes that are cut out at the top. These cut-outs are done purposefully and meant for storing items such as phones, vases, and other small items. The shapes are detailed with interior colors and the chunky legs support the entire table top.
Chien explains, “this seamless integration of design elements serves not only as a visual delight but also as a testament to the thoughtful craftsmanship that defines the collection.” The side tables aren't seen as independent pieces disparate from one another but instead, highlight the connecting elements.
