David Marchetti Architetto Concept Design is Unbelievably Eco-Fied
Brian G Randles — February 26, 2010 — Art & Design
New and improved building materials are developed faster than buildings can even go up, but sometimes it is nice to go with an oldie... an ancient oldie.
David Marchetti Architetto designed an office building for Leeds, UK which is made out of rammed earth. Not steel, or iron, but rammed earth. This is the ultimate in eco-design.
Unfortunately, but understandably, the office design by David Marchetti Architetto did not make the final cut in the 36 Calls Design Competition. But I'll tip my hat to anyone who has the audacity to create an office out of earth. Kudos.
