A dating experience normally entails an intimate social interaction between two people, but what if you're not the best person for this particular type of social interaction?
Programmer Lauren McCarthy developed an application that lets other people dictate how she should respond on a date in real-time. Through the course of a month, McCarthy discretely streamed her dates through an iPhone app that allowed Mechanical Turk workers -- third party individuals -- to view her on a date and make decisions for her based on the situations on the date. The responses from the Turk workers are sent via text.
There are a lot implications about this project, but it's an interesting means of showcasing how the Interweb can be utilized in helping people with social interactions.
