The new Danone Two Good™ Greek yogurt is a product offering that is both "good for you and good for the community." The new offering is low in sugar and high in protein, making it a healthy choice for consumers. In addition to its better-for-you ingredients, the Danone Two Good™ launch also aims to combat food waste.
The nutritious yogurt features only two grams of sugar and eight grams of protein per serving while also helping to support Canadian communities. Danone is doing this through its partnership with Second Harvest and the organization's Food Rescue Program, dedicated to providing over 80,000 rescued meals to Canadians across the country.
"As a purpose-driven company that values balancing business growth and performance with social responsibility, we are very excited to bring Two Good™ to the Canadian market to enable consumers to do good for themselves and their communities through a simple cup of yogurt,” says Eric Maffert, Senior Marketing Director at Danone Canada.
In addition to its partnership with Second Harvest, Danone Canada teamed up with chef Devan Rajkumar for the product's recent virtual launch event. At the event, Devan shared two zero-waste recipes -- Tandoori Chicken or Eggplant Salad -- featuring Danone Two Good™ yogurt. The recipes featured commonly discarded produce like broccoli and herb stems and celery leaves, teaching at-home chefs to embrace ingredients that are often forgotten or thrown away by the masses.
