The recently implemented sugar tax in the UK has created quite a stir with brands who retail products with high levels of the sweetener, so brands are responding with new options as seen with Dalston’s craft sodas. While the brand traditionally creates drinks with a low, natural beet sugar formula, the new flavors help to reinforce that it's a great choice when looking for an alternative soda to enjoy.

The new Dalston’s craft soda flavors includes 'Cherryade,' 'Fizzy Elderflower' and the newly reformulated 'Ginger Beer,' which are all crafted with natural ingredients to make them appealing to health-conscious consumers.

Dalston's Managing Director, Dan Broughton, spoke about the new soda offerings when he said, "In the same way that craft beer has exploded in popularity over the past few years, we’re now witnessing a sustained rise in demand for more honest, additive-free and better-tasting soft drinks. Also, as consumers are embracing alcohol-free alternatives at home and on nights out, they’re looking for more exciting soft drinks than the usual sugar-heavy suspects."
