Curved House is a minimalist and interestingly designed villa in Coves Noves. The architecture is effortlessly luxurious and the interior contains four bedrooms, as well as an outdoor area with a small pool (which is covered). Aside from its striking exterior, Curved House also has many interesting interior features. For example, there is a patio that is enveloped in glass and suspended within the villa.
Nomo Studio faced a number of challenges when developing Curved House. For one, the firm had to overcome a steep slope. Secondly, part of the site contained an area of archaeological importance which had to be conserved no matter what. In order to accommodate these challenges, Nomo Studio created a very compact footprint—the house sits on just 600 square meters—and the curved shape also carefully avoids the protected area in question.
