The 'Blloku Cube' is a golden cubic building that is currently being erected in Tirana, Albania. The structure is seven-storey tall and its facade is particularly interesting. Designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti, the outer shell boasts a composition of "three-dimensional aluminum triangles, which will act as a sunscreen to shade its glazed walls."
When in contact with the sun, the golden facade of the cubic building has iridescent properties that add to the dynamic of its highly intricate facade. Stefano Boeri Architetti arranges the layout to be transitional and appropriate for the many activities the Blloku Cube is envisioned to house. From a shopping center on the lower floor and office spaces on the higher to a community-driven garden restaurant on the roof, the cubic golden building is aesthetically pleasing and functional.
