Each year, the Red Cross is quite familiar with coming up with campaigns to encourage people to donate money to help provide meals to malnourished children—but this creative fundraising campaign is set up as something that sets itself apart.
The 'Very Good Manners' campaign was hosted across several Polish restaurants and was introduced to diners on place mats. These place mats detailed that rather arranging utensils in a cross shape would indicate to the restaurant staff that you wanted to make a charitable donation to the Polish Red Cross. From there, the restaurant simply adds on €1.5 euros to the bill, which is enough to feed a child a hot meal. In total, this was successful at increasing donations by 65% and it's a tactic that could easily be brought back year after year.
